I’ve Been Away: How Are We Doing?

It’s been a rough few months. I lost a best friend, a confidant, my personal cheerleader, my ride or die to a fast moving, horrible cancer, and my world has changed? We had been friends for many years…started our jobs as supervisors on the same day in the same company. We became fast friends although until the day we were hired our lives had been vastly different. She fought a battle that not many win…and, now she’s done what all of us have to do.

So, that’s where I’ve been and I’m healing. The fight and the loss of my friend helped me put some things in perspective…that life is short, and what’s that book…”Don’t sweat the small stuff.” This has made me sweat the big stuff.

So, how are you doing? Our country, our world seems a little stressed these days…change is always stressful, and boy have we been changing. How are you handling it? What’s keeping you up at night? If your answer is nothing, please share how you’re doing it. What’s the most important thing in your life these days? Who is the most important person in your life today? When is the last time your hugged them for real…not out of habit but long and real? Do you feel doomed? Do you feel hopeful?

How are you handling the politics these days? Are you ignoring it? Are you in a “Ce qui sera, sera” mode? Are you in panic mode? Are you in a “God has this” mode? Are you our working to make sure we remain a democracy or are you okay with the “king” thing? Are you dealing with the change alone or with a family and/or friends? Are you being honest about what and how you feel? Have you changed or have you remained the same?

Do you have better questions?

Please share. Just trying to re-connect…connect. Thank you.
