I am afraid of what a Trump win will do to America, but I have never thought about him dying or being physically harmed. I want him out of the political realm because I don’t think he has the heart, the temperament, the patriotism, or the knowledge to be President or to hold any office…furthermore, he doesn’t see or care about his shortcomings.
And yet, I know there are people who would part with their family, their upbringing, their own welfare, their country, and even their religion to stand with him. There are some “Christians” who say Trump is protected by God, he is “the chosen one”, and they are believers in the teachings that God gave his only son so that they might have everlasting life. It is simply blasphemous to think God allowed his own son to suffer and die, and yet Trump gets elevated due to a nicked ear and a failed attempt by two people who were previous supporters…it’s just not a biblically sound deduction.
Now, I’m not belittling the attacks on Trump, however, I am questioning attempts to portray him as a living martyr. There is no place for political violence in America and the attempts on his life must be fully investigated and addressed. But it cannot overshadow the upcoming election, however, Trump’s campaign is attempting to make sure it does. But think about it…if the Secret Service were after President Trump or too incompetent to protect him, and if Trump believed this to be the case, he would not be asking for a ramp up of their services. I assure you Trump would already have his own private security force to protect him and sending a bill to the government…that is the Trump we know.
Trump doesn’t want us to discuss his past presidency, or his plans if he is re-elected. He doesn’t want to discuss his Supreme Court appointments and their connection to implementing Project 2025. He doesn’t want to talk about January 6th. He doesn’t want to talk about his role in getting out of Afghanistan or his level of consult his then military advisors. He doesn’t want to share his plans for the Affordable Care Act or Social Security. He doesn’t want to discuss his tax plan for the wealthy and his tax plan for you. He doesn’t want to discuss the wall that Mexico paid for, or the bi-partisan immigration bill he thwarted. He never talks about the wealth he inherited or the struggles he experienced building his wealth after inheriting his father’s wealth. He never talks about the of his children to reach their current success. He talks about everyone’s personal lives…but he never talks about how there came to be an Ivana, a Marla , and then a Melania. He doesn’t want to talk about why the top people in his administration are not endorsing him or why Governor Kemp of Georgia did not vote for him in the primary (and said it out loud). He doesn’t talk about fair pay, good working conditions, family leave, union jobs…and he doesn’t talk about the union jobs he promised when he ran in 2016 and how they never materialized…facilities even closed.
Trump wants to discuss how New York State attorneys have assailed him for crimes that everyone commits…mind you, not crimes he didn’t commit. Trump wants to talk about the woman he has been found guilty of assaulting in a civil court but wants us to forget Access Hollywood tape. He wants to talk about the ethnicity, looks, and fitness of Vice President Kamala Harris rather than her public service and qualifications. He wants to take credit for the stimulus pushed through Congress by Nancy Pelosi while he vehemently fought against it but would only sign if his name was printed on the check. He wants to repeat debunked lies about Haitians in Springfield, Illinois who are here legally and were needed to fill jobs. Trump wants to talk about what’s wrong with America…and usually targets individual or groups of people, but never policies to make the situation permanently better and America stronger.
I never hear him talk about what is right with America. I never hear him laud our precious freedoms, especially not our precious vote. I never hear him talk about the resilience of the American people or our heroes. I never hear him talking about our leadership in the world…our leadership rather than his leadership. I never hear him talk about the history that made us the United States…how immigrant after immigrant came from countries all over the world and did their part in making this America. I never hear him talk about the laws that every citizen is required to abide by, and most Americans do so willingly. I never hear him talk about those who have fought in wars to defend democracy and build alliances throughout the world.
We have never had a perfect President…and I don’t believe we ever will. But we deserve better than the former President. We knew that in 2020 and it hasn’t changed. We are better and stronger together than divided…God Bless America and God Bless Our Troops!
