Everything…it is the essence of America. Every “citizen” of America who came here willingly –new citizens and old–came here looking for freedom from some kind of oppression or terror. Even those whose ancestors were brought here unwillingly, even those whose ancestors suffered unspeakable horrors in this country, at the end of day sought freedom…and most continue to make this a more perfect union. They do so in America…not in other lands.
