Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville who has never served one day in the military has held up military promotions for nine months.  These military personnel signed up for a dangerous job and America made a bargain with them when they did so.  Senator Tuberville is doing this under the pretense of protecting the unborn and serving his constituents.  I think he’s having a temper tantrum. What else might Tuberville decide he doesn’t like about military policy?  At the end of the day, this man has taken it upon himself to do to military personnel with no consequences.  Has he offered to go without pay while he held up these military actions?  Has he offered to deploy with a military unit to experience their daily lives?  Hell, no.   He just stands there in his pompousness affecting thousands of lives. Our military personnel protect and defend our country…and they don’t get rich doing so.

I don’t care if people own guns to protect themselves, but we have members of Congress posting family photos of their entire families holding automatic weapons.  Something is wrong with these pictures.  There is something wrong when people are being victimized in grocery stores, bowling alleys, or just walking down the street with automatic weapons…and the answer is prayers, and we need our automatic weapons to kill feral hogs.  Something is wrong with these people.  We have a Congress that cannot get these weapons off of our street or at the least out of the hands of those who should not have them.

And then there is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, novice lawmaker and election denier, Michael Johnson.  The House is looking to put forth a bill that only funds Israel and not the Ukraine funding…but on top of that removing IRS funding intended to allow the IRS to pursue wealthy tax evaders more progressively.  The kicker is they are doing this under the pretense of saving the tax dollars for citizens.  What could be more appropriate than collecting tax dollars from cheaters if you truly are trying to save tax dollars?  There are all kinds of deals the Speaker could have put on the table, but he put one on the table Biden will never sign.  The reason?  It’s just a distraction because these folks don’t want to govern, they want to shut down the government.  That is the endgame folks.  They promised to govern, but that is not what they want to do…they came to destroy.

We have put so much into Ukraine, and I truly believe that it is a war that can be won. We made a commitment to Ukraine, and we should see it through.  If you don’t think what happens in other countries matters to us, one simply needs to remember 9-11. It wasn’t that long ago, and the hate still remains. Now is certainly not the time to be playing these games, especially with the way we have rebuilt our relationship with our allies…especially with everything going on in the world today. We have people in Congress who are obeying the orders of a man who has perpetuated crimes his entire life…and, they are angry because he lost an election and is being prosecuted for criminal acts against the United States of America and individual states as well.

There are so many things going on in our country and our world that need our full attention…our serious attention.  And yet, we have people in our government who are not serious…not only that, we have people who don’t love or believe in America, our Constitution, or our people…all of our people.  It is not too late to do something about it.  Write them, call them, peacefully protest, and if something doesn’t change, vote them out.  Hell, if there are no good choices, run for office.  Look at Congress, there are plenty proving every single day that you can do a better job.
