I honestly believe most people never entertain the thought of paying for a trip to the moon. Most of us think about exploring the planet we currently occupy…or remodeling our kitchen. I would pay far less to see the moon than I would to visit countries all over the world. I would actually pay less than I would pay to remodel my kitchen or my bathroom. I would definitely pay less than it would take to get the homeless folks in our small city into a home. I would definitely pay less than making sure every child in my community had food and clothing. I would definitely pay far less than I would pay for every child in my community to go on a field trip providing them with an experience their family could never afford. I would be far less than the dropping a few dollars in the Salvation Army bucket. That said, I don’t mind those who choose to spend their money going to the moon…neither do I envy them.
