I am a black woman and a liberal. I live in small southern town and Trump was visiting a small nearby city. I went to the rally just to see what it was like. I wore a pair of jeans and a plain T-shirt. Being this black, liberal, Christian, America-loving, freedom-embracing, patriotic, female, retired military veteran…I felt out of place. I also felt disgusted and unwanted. I think it important to mention, the only thing the people at the rally could see was a black female…the rest of who I am was not so obvious. Moreover, I don’t think the rest of who I am would have mattered.
