Yesterday, I found myself ranting about the thought processes of Republicans who vote for Trump. I know it’s not all Republicans, but it’s a lot of them. And the worst of them are in our Congress…in the House and the Senate. The wealthiest of them are on the outside filling the coffers of those who are in Congress…and filling the coffers of our conservative Supreme Court justices.

Our democracy is being destroyed because the very few want to not only rule but own our land and our labor…they are willing to buy the minds and souls of people to get it done. I rant about this often…but I rant with facts. They are not rants filled with inaccurate information or just my opinions. I point out the legislation Republicans have blocked. I talk about the people who died because of Trump’s deception by omission regarding COVID. I talk about the sunset or expiration on Trump tax cuts for working folks, and how the tax breaks for the wealthy having no sunset. Furthermore, it’s not rocket science that if businesses don’t compensate people adequately and they require government assistance, then the taxpayer ends up paying. And, who gets the tax breaks with no sunset? Yes, I go on and on, because the corruption goes on and on.

And, then there is the outright criminal behavior of the former President and his close circle. But that’s just a distraction…Trump is not going to win the election and he’s probably going to prison. Trump is no longer needed because they have bought the Republicans in Congress and the Supreme Court. I won’t even go down the road of state and local government corruption.

In the coming days, we will see President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland grilled in front of the world in an effort to discredit them. I don’t believe the goal to re-elect Trump but to create momentum for another Republican candidate. I don’t even know if they want Trump to be exonerated or pardoned…because he’s gone rogue. But the truth is virtually every Republican candidate is a tamer Trump clone…except maybe Ron DeSantis who is a full metal jacket version.

We can stop this attack…it’s not too late. We can vote them out! We can holler from the hilltops to the American people what they are doing and just importantly what they are not doing…and have not intention of doing. Democrats and Independents can do it! And Republicans need to join in cleaning up this mess as well.
