A Week Without Political Drama

Daily writing prompt
Describe your ideal week.

My blog is based on “saving our world in spite of our politics.” An ideal week for me would be free from the ranting of former Presidents. It would be a week where I could observe the current President’s performance, whether or not I like him, and determine whether or not I approve or disapprove of the decisions he is making so I can make an informed decision in 2024. It would be a week where all of our arms of government operated as intended. It would be wonderful to see Congress having a dialogue and passing laws that would help our country work better our citizens, our future citizens, and our planet. It would be wonderful for the Supreme Court to go back to respecting settled law as most assured us they would and stop making decisions based on their partisan belief systems…and to have more transparency of the laws being passed under the mysterious SCOTUS “shadow docket.” It would be a week where our courts are allowed to prosecute those who have been recommended for prosecution by grand juries and indicted by district attorneys…and juries are allowed to do their job without intimidation. It would be a week where I could just see a clear and concise representation of the platforms Democrats, Republicans, and third parties are running on…and, where/who their campaign monies are coming from. And lastly, I would like see Senator Tommy Tuberville spend a week of active duty on the frontline of any conflict. Keeping it simple, I want our government to work as it should.
